I am not looking to buy one, just asking. Here in the Bahamas, no one has pedigrees. And if they do, the pups won't because the dogs are usually akc and akc doesn't allow us to register with them. look at this pup going fo 1,000 with a ped.

I agree with the shelter option.

I like the look of the pups but that doesnt really say anything about what they will be.

For 50.00-200.00 you can go to the pound and find one that is trained and house broken  and raised around children,

Sorry, but the puppy the is being sold for a 1000.00 is (in my book)  not any where close to anything I would look at let alone buy (even as a novice 10 years ago).

You can buy a nice Czech puppy from police certified K-9s for 800.00 to 1000.00 with  all the bells and whistles. And if you want mix Shep/Mali (police k9s) well they have them too. Ads are posted on this site.

Undoubtably he will have no problem selling these pups ,,,the question was     would you?    JQ Public : most would...like Don stated  , most dont care as long as you tell them it is purebred.....

I know quite a few outstanding police k9 in my area with amazing pedigree, super hips, and temperament that would blow many sport dogs out of the water, and I would jump at the chance to own a pup from them or breed to them...WITH papers, they are simply a necessity. However, I would NOT buy a pup from a litter like that site unseen with no proof regarding the sire whatsoever.

Wow, can't believe that second link!  They admit right on the page that the sire is not even registered and then they also admit they don't OFA their dogs

Hasn't this kennel been talked about before?

Again it is up to the buyer and what they are wanting and willing to spend.

I, personally, wouldn't take a pup out of this litter because there is only one pup whose expression/body language I care for. Not a good average, but maybe that one would be as confident and outgoing as he should. I may be reading it wrong but it's JMHO.

As far as the second link, just remember to "Say no to puppy mills".

I can honetly say I would take the no papered pups sight unseen, before I paid a grand for that gremlin in the other add. Not to be rude but thats what the GSD pups in the pound and streets look like here.

Love the suspiciously glowing testimonial where the "owner" states that this dog is suited to ANYTHING at three months old. This after only having the pup for a maximum of eight days. Pup was advertised on Oct. 1-today is Oct. 9. Boy, would I love to have that sort of precognition.

Must be nice to find such well informed buyers. They, also, must be expert at reading hip xrays to be this confident in a breeder like lilmutt.
