And Cheryl, you and Molly are perfect for eachother...have fun with SchH, thats most important! Save the stress talk and bubble guts for trial day, lol.
Too funny, I can totally picture Libby doing that with the cookie!!!

PT is "Pre Trial" AKC herding title. HT was "Herding Tested" and HCT is an Americal Herding Breed Assoc. "Herding Capability Tested" title. All are tested levels. Next year we will be at the trial level. Anja is my first herding dog so its been a rough, but rewarding couple of years. She's exceptional, I've been told, but it's taken me "forever" to get it!! Herding is hard with a high drive girl like Anja. No time to think out there!! We turned a big corner at the end of this summer, so am looking forward to next herding season.
Thanks for the Kudos!!

Thanks, good luck with the herding...a few people I train SchH with have also HGH titles on their dogs...it sounds tough for sure . I'd love to try it all but there's just not enough time in the day, lol.

Oh ...Rezkat on this database is one of them (duh), Thursdays she does Tracking, OB and Protection in the morning THEN drives to NJ for Herding the rest of the afternoon!!!! Kudo's goes to you too Kathy (Rezkat)!

LOL, thanks Melanie!
We were herding at an AKC trial this weekend - the GSDCA C Course Nationals in Massachusets. We hadn't done C course in almost 3 years and was the first time for my Lexie. Two dogs entered all three days was "interesting," but we came home with 4 of 6 q's, 2 blues, 1 red, 1 yellow, and 2 Reserve High in Trial. One for each dog. We've got some work to do though! As I'm finding the AKC stuff with just 20 sheep a heck of a lot different than a HGH with 200 sheep. And my boy also picked up two points towards his AKC Herding Championship. And the "green" dog got two legs towards her AKC started title. She's the one that is the most "interesting" to run 20 sheep on. As it like holding a comet by the tail!
I'm on my way home, hopefully won't be too much traffic at 6 P.M. I'm checking email from a McDonalds! Trying to burn some time to avoid traffic.
Hope to share some pics soon, once I get em downloaded.
Again congrats to you guys.

Hey Rezkat5, congrats on your accomplishments this weekend!! How cool! I've had a lot of people tell me that I should be doing at least C Course with Anja, but I'm pretty limited to what I have to practice with here. Nearest C course practice is around 200 miles away. I have some great mentors here, but none of them have worked a GSD so it's been a learning experience for us all!! So I work with what I have available to me. Dot Delisle judged our Labor Day trial and it was great talking to her. We earned our PT under her. Some day (when I'm more experienced) maybe I can give C course a try. Anja has Xitta vom Kirschental way back in her pedigree, so I'm hopeful that she carries a teeny, tiny bit of herding instinct in her!! HA!

Rozoan,
yea, your dog is probably much better suited for C course. I couldn't imagine even attempting a course with my guys.
