Yellowrose is right the AKC is gonna tell you to "take legal action" therefore they are less than helpful.  I'm wondering why this breeder does not want to register the litter???  Why are they gonna "give them away" or have them destroyed??  Is there something wrong with the litter??  I am also curious if the breeder owns both the dam and sire, because maybe the reason the litter is not being registered as something to do with a conflict with a stud dog owner??  Either way hats off to you for coming to the pups rescue- I don't believe in destroying a litter and feel there are plenty of pet homes that will take good care of these pups and provide a loving home regardless if they are papered or not.  Most people aren't looking to be breeders so really the papers are meaningless to them.

If the owners are unwilling to help you, remind people the dogs can always get an ILP number when thepups are spayed/neutered and can still compete in performance events.
