peeing - Page 2

I once had a male wait until he was 17 months old to lift his leg.  Just that morning (many years ago) I was thinking that he was such an affable fellow, with no conflicts at all.  Then, on the way into training class, he lifted his leg... and proceeded to pick a fight with a newfie.  In his case, it was apparently all about attitude.

I laugh, it's like they were out drinking all night the night before.  My boy,  will prop the leg on the tree thing too sometimes. 

LOL I thought the late TrickyDick was the only dumb dog to lift his leg and piss on his front. He too would piss so long his leg would start cramping you could see it shake sometimes with the effort of holding it up there that long, then he would drop it and finish pissing like a  pup. Now Baden is almost a year, hasn't lifted his leg yet and GARD says he looks like she has prostate problems when he stretches out to wizz. To me it looks like he holds it so long, it take him a minute to relax and get the stream going, then it just keeps going and going ang going....

oh yeah, then he'll pee on the front leg too sometimes,  uggghhh gross! 

13 month male and pees like a girl, and sometimes on his front paws too or a tennis ball, toys, the puppy's head once too.

18 month female lifts her leg

12 y/o male doesn't even make an attempt, where ever he's standing he lets it spill no warning. No body adjustment.

I was at the first day of a two day tracking seminar today and we were talking about this at break. Drake just started lifting his leg last week when he turned 8 months. When I took him for a walk on the trail he tried to pee on every post we passed and almost fell over twice.  Then the one time he was successful, he peed all the way up to his armpit!  ROFL.  Funny stuff.  I'd love to see pics of the tree prop pee!!

My 11 month old boy pees on his front feet, too. Or he'll stretch out really long and pee forever, until he's standing in a puddle. And lately, he turns his big ol' head, and watches himself pee, once he even tried to take a lick from the stream....nasty! And then he wants to kiss me! YUCK! jo

I love posts like these, long day finishing up packing dishes and moving them, 3 pups to vet, to farm store, pick up RAW order, dindin for everyone, then sit here a laugh my butt off for an hour - no better way to wrap up a day!

I've been trying to get a "tree prop pee pic" for about a year, caught him doing it on several occassions - he's caught on to the fact that the tree lets him stand there longer.  LOL

my boy will do this weird thing of peeing on say a small bush or something, then immediately squats to poo practically at the same time.  what a dork
