boss is getting BIG! and sounds like he has a good nose! you have cute kids too. you always sound like you have alot of fun w/your dogs and family. keep up the tracking ....k

1doggie2-- i was gonna try the hide and seek thing next...lol...i think my kids will love that....
uglydog....I would post some if i had em...but i don't :(.......except for toys? tugging? other than that i don't do actual 'bitework' on people with boss....I am so inexperienced with training, that trying to do that myself worries me, not something you'd wanna train wrong.....esp with 2 small kids...i'd love to be able to do that with him, but only if i could take him to someone that knows what they are doing.....
Trailrider...oHHH, Id love to! but I looked into to it, and my hat goes off to the people that do that, but there is no way i can...you have to pay for everything yourself, and i can't afford it....i can just imagine telling my hubby....hun, im gonna devote most of my time to a job that i have to pay to let me work, while you bust your butt 40 hours a week just to make ends meet....lol...yea right...he'd never go for that...
angusmom- Thanks! he is getting big! I havent weighed him in a while tho, i really need to get around to doing that...im so freakin lazy.....my kids are kinda cute huh...lol..?

Congrats on the Boss schnoz. You should get the Glenn Johnson book on tracking. It is very step by step and whether you do SAR or not it would be fun for you and Boss. I met a lady that taught her dog to find her car keys, the remote and her kid's shoes! That alone is worth the price of a dog and a book!

Congratulations on the great photos of your dog and your kids !
i think everyone can feel the passsion you have for you dog and your children.
this is really nice and what a dog is truely meant for.
It is to ground us and make us feel closer to the ones we love .
when I am with my dogs I am often reminded what a wise man said to me a long time ago and that is that " we humans can learn a lot from dogs, such as unconditional love, loyalty and obediance. " remeber DOG spelled backwards is GOD !

I had heard that before too but had forgotten. The unconditional love part is what this world really needs to give to each other - wouldn't life be wonderful if we did! Agape love rocks! I believe loyalty and obedience would follow naturally....
