my mother-in -law owns boss's sister---been told she has awesome penciling--so i guess thats good huh, is penciling unusual/sought after?

Damn that's a beautiful sable, and so is your boy, Boss luvmyGSD, I enjoy looking at his photos. As to the OP's question, I just think that's a big headed dog - not uncommon in working lines.

Looks fine...kinda like holding a fish out in front of you closer to the camera as his head is the closest part to the camera.

I think the pup's shoulders are not positioned properly and/or the neck is what is not proportional?  The head does look appropriate but something else surely isn't correct.  Perhaps a stacked photo would better show what is wrong with this pup?

The head looks elongated but I think it's just the position of the dog in the pic

Looks like a bad photoshop to me.  The hairs go in a different direction and do not even line up on the chest.

Didn't want to start a new thread for this, but I have a question about an ad photo too: is this male pup a bit "spindly", or completely lacking bone? Maybe I'm just too use to looking at east german pups: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/classifieds/44247.html
