All dogs which are selling as top show/breed dogs must have in moment of transfer pulpabled balls for males, complete teeth and correct bite, erected ears. prelim hips and minimum one show with opinion under SV judge and for that dog must be at least 6 months old. And in that case we could talking about dog in standard but only with possibility to become prospect and successful show/breed/work dog. For me buying puppy without that necessary elements is gamble, too. But that do not reduce breeder obligation to be fair. Buyers just like to gamble and calculate with money and many of them think that they are smarter than others and they have "magic" possibility to discover future champ in puppy. In Europe it is very hard to get paper contract about dog transfer but as I told again that do not reduce breeder obligation to be fair.
I always try to avoid selling too much young puppies as a perspective but buyers usually insist on it. In that problematic situation I, as a breeder, will offer you new dog or half of payment without shipping costs and that is for me fair. Contact your dog breeder and talk with him.
