Good Luck, Shelley!  I agree with Pia about Carol too.  Please make sure someone takes pictures and post them here when you get home.

This female is out of my sable female and black male, is she a sable, or a gray? ( I am trying to learn all the in's and out's with the Shepherds) Thanks for all the help I have already received here.

It's already not looking good for this year, but next year for sure. I think I have a buyer for one of the pups I would have shown in the progeny group, may not have time to convince another puppy owner to enter and show before the final deadline day after tomorrow, let alone try to convince anyone to bring older progeny over from Germany.

Too bad.

I don't have stacked pix of all the dogs I had planned to show, but should get a few good ones at the regional show this weekend, thanks to Dawnmarie's wonderful talent behind the lense. I will post them on my website, probably next week or the week after. Hopefully we can get some pix and videos of Carol and progeny MOVING, as gait is the most extraordinary trait he passes on to his progeny. Ali, (18 mos) in particular, moves very well for a working dog. I still stand and stare when I watch her move, have trouble believing I actualy produced a hard-arse working hussy who moves the way she does. Sure I'm partial, but not entirely kennel blind. She'll never be Siegerin, but I wouldn't part with her for any price. :-D  The biggest question is who shall I breed HER to to preserve the working ability AND the structure/movement once she's titled and breed surveyed?

Fortunately that's a decision I won't have to make for at least a year, maybe longer depending on how far we go in the sport.

Here's a picture Dawnmarie took of Carol in a show last spring. He was/is too fat and not in top condition, captured on a turn in an indoor ring, but how many older (or younger) working dogs do you see with movement such as this? I'm such a sucker for gait... Ha ha ha.
