ShepherdWoman

ARE YOU KIDDING??????  LOL.   Did you have your GSD's hips OFA'd? Elbows done? Cardio done?  Anything done?????????  And why use him for stud before he is 2 years old and has all of his health clearances?  How old is the female also.  Man your post took guts, lol.

ShepherdWoman that was my initial response too.  RU kidding?

I don't think guts, perhaps ignorance to post something like that here.

Who here wants a shot of vodka? I think we all deserve a shot or two (or three) after reading this guys post :)

Please put your keys in the bucket before you take a shot....you'll get your keys in the morning.

this has to be a joke....seriously.  NOBODY can be this...ignorant(?) is that the word I'm looking for?  If it's not ignorance, it's pure stupidity and should be counted as animal abuse.  KNOWING that there is an issue with an animal and breeding anyhow....that makes me sick.

Hopefully it didn't "take" and you will be intelligent enough to get your boy fixed, if you give a crap.

CanaBoo, believe me, you have NO IDEA how ignorant the general public can be. If you want to find out, go visit Yahoo Answers and hang out in the Pet Forum for a bit!

Here's a few gems for ya:

"My dog is having a sesiur. My dog is a yorkie and last night she just spin around like she has a stiff neck we went to the animal clinic and the doctor said shes having a sesiur but its too expensive if were gonna leave her there is $400 for a night.and she needs an operation...." (Needless to say, this dog was a puppy mill dog, purchased at a pet store!)

"My male dog keeps trying to hump my cat. Can she get pregnant?" (NO, I kid you not! And if you're guessing neither animal is neutered...BINGOOOO!)

Oh, and this gem, which is all too typical of the many many people who either can't afford to take their dog to the vet, or are TOO IGNORANT to know the dog has a very serious, life-threatening problem!

"My dog cant walk and her back boobs are sore... what can i do??? She has just had pups, and she is thirsty and shivering, even when the house is warm. she cannot move and is yelping when we touch her back boobs or leg. What is this, and how can i help her????"

Well, I'm glad that you've learned a valuable lesson albeit it might have been a "opening up a can of whoop ass"  in a way.  :)

Good for you for wanting to do the right thing.  And hope to see you back soon.

Vianden:   Some cockers have genetic problems   but like gsds      I have bred cockers American Parti color top blood lines for years, never had a sick one ,,eyes certified and would you believe  we certify Hips with OFA also...My male came out of Top AKC Champion with the highest bred Male in USA  Empires Brooklyn Dodger,, and a female of the highest Champion also, Never had any genetic problems and only bred Duchess 4 times in 15 years and never bred  Timbo again since and his son Bunco and daughter Aria are here and never been bred....My new girl , I decided not to breed a cocker any longer....too much hair , too much work for me to keep them clean and beautiful for customers to see....when babies born......My breeder that sold me Pawness Indian Outlaw,,,,,got out of breeding also....I focused on the germans instead.....my cocker are in the house and rule the roost there...kenneled when a german comes thru  as the two breeds dont like each other at all...

I now own A CH sired out of a top contender and excellent bred bloodlines   and it is just like in gsds.....if you breed crap you get crap....cockers are runined just lline germans were and are like above and on the thread,  ad erks me" or makes me sick"

I still have 4 long haired georgeous cockers that have never been sick a day in  their life and the dam out of an old cocker line from Ohio, just died at 15 years old...The male ,is still here and hes 11 years of    Timbo    and we ofa and eye certify and breed just as careful as gsd are suppose.to....and yes   I can tell the horror stories about cockers......my reputation as a cocker breeder was the responsiblilty and due to the mentoring of two of the top breeders in USA and both Judges in the end of their life to Russia and foreign countries.....Jay and Miriam Boyd, both who were seriously injured three years ago in the north side of Houston on the way to Judge a Show in San Antonio area, and died of their injuries over the next 1 1/2  lying in a nursing home fighting for their.life....some on this board that were in American Show for Akc will know exactly who they were......

Joe Payne, an Akc handler, would crawl all over someone that posted not knowing what was going on with their cocker....before you buy a dog,,,no matter what breed it is......read and talk to the professionals at an akc show or gt in touch with german breedrs.......and not back yard ones...go to the top ones and discuss what is right....anyone will help if your ask first....not after the fact.........

What, none of you suggested he breed the GSD to the cocker? We need more designer breeds, I know I'd spend 2k+ for a Germcock Shepniel.
