I saw a show once on Brittany Spears, this was well over 5 years ago I bet, and they showed her two GSDs that she paid over $70k for each!  So I think you're correct, soe people have WAY TOO much money!!!  Kari

Hey guys,  that is exactly the kind of people you find everyday here in Palm Beach County, Florida.  Status symbols they pay big bucks for and then hire someone to take care of them.  People with too much money and not enough shops on Worth Avenue to spend it in.  You should see some of their "fishing boats".

Its not just people with money, that do those things...Years ago when I visited a Schutzhund club in Dallas, that is no longer in existance, I was there to bred my female to the trainers v schutz male, and while I was there , I listened to the trainer and her Chinese friend, making the arrangements to bid on a male recently titled Sieger in Europe to the tune of 120, 000.00 to keep someone else in Europe from getting the dog......Politics and money.....still apart of the game..

Why does a Rolex Daytona cost 30k? It is all about marketing. Start with a quality product, add desireable features, slick marketing, and a buyer who will tell their friends with pride the price that they paid. I have a client who insists that his Hyundai is every bit equal to his wifes Lexus. (Except that everyone knows that he is too smart [or cheap] to spend twice the money).
