As she grows so does her jaw. At one point in time it probably was okay as things were growing at different rates. I've watched many different animals grow, sometimes things match, sometimes they don't.
You already told me you had planned to spay her so what's the big deal? She's a wonderful pet from what all we've read here watching her grow up.

She has a serious/profound overbite. Not enough to worry about health, or digestion, or eating - her canines are situated in the right places. But, for breeding - nope. If her bite is like this now, it was not correct at 11 months either, most likely. No problem for a spayed wonderful pet though - if you got her planning on breeding her, then there is a problem.

THAT CANT BE CORRECTED AND NEVER WILL
DO NOT BREED HER....SPAY AND GIVE HER A WONDERFUL LOVING HOME...USE HER FOR A DEMO GIRL ....TO SHOW PEOPLE HOW TO TRAIN OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT...

Yes and now you know why I told you that!
We did plan on breeding her, and since Krista already had a planned breeding with Naya for this spring we were under the impression that she was breeding quality, why would you breed her with a bite like this? Her hips were advertised as prelim'd but they were not, so yeah I guess you could say we are upset. Naya is a gorgeous black sable but she's not breeding quality, so yes she will be spayed.

I hate to get into this as both Lisa2004, and Krista are both considered my friends, but I don't think it's a problem of Naya getting spayed. The big deal is that Lisa2004 was mislead into thinking Naya was a breed worthy female when she is not. There is more wrong with Naya than just her over bite which is a big enough deal in itself. All I can say is nobody really knows anyone even when being friends.

I very rarley comment on the board, but I read this post and just have to open my big mouth...What the hell?!?!?!?! You bought this dog days ago, posted pics of giving her a bath, etc. and you just now are recognizing this overbite? And because you did not get an immediate response from the prior owner, you come on this board and yell fraud? I guess I just do not get people sometimes. I do not know you from Eve, but after watching this other woman raise her "Pride and Joy" on this board, and to have to have to adopt her out...yes I said adopt because you did not pay more then for this dog then the worst backyard breeder would have charged for a piss poor puppy, and then to have you come on here and obviously want to slander her. You could say this rubbed me wrong.
And no I do not personally know any of the people involved, but come on people. Our Country is in the middle of one of the worst situations we have scene since the great depression. I am one of the lucky ones, I can always find work as a paramedic, my husband is in a very secure job with housing provided, my children are happy and healthy. But not everyone is so lucky and with family in MI I know how BAD it is there. You lost out on $200.00 for a breeding female? Give me a break. Spay her and love her, and next time be a better consumer.
OK I will return to my corner and once again just leerk......

Maybe you could give Naya back to Naya;s Mom...I dont know any of you either...but it is sad that Naya had to go , but worse that you are not happy with her...Maybe just let someone take her back to her home..and let her find someone else that will just want a beautiful black sable girl...Some people just dont believe in spaying females either..
They gain weight and sometimes have medical problems after ...Im just trying to level the playing field here..Im too far away to help physically.
I think maybe since your personally involved, give her back and let her find someone else not close to the situation...
To some people, they may feel she was breed worthy, but wont get into that..For 200.00 , I certainly wouldnt get hurt over her not being...Just give her back , or offer anyway...

I agree Yellowrose of Texas. It's sad that she bought Naya to help, now she's blasting Naya's mom the way she is. If you're not happy with the dog, give her back and move on! She's going through enough right now and doesn't need your crap too.....

$200 is well under the normal pet price for a female GSD that was purchased as a pet intended to be neutered. I paid $ 1,000 for Blitz. He has a gay tail, is missing a tooth, is east and west, cowhocked, has flat feet, weak pasterns. a mole coat and will bite if you piss him off which doesn't take much. I doubt you could take a GSD out of a rescue for $200. Give Krista a break here, she has enough to deal with. Have some compassion.

Costs me that much in dog food a month....wow, $200??? for Naya??? She had training on her also didn't she? I'd be ashamed to complain on here if I were you.
