Hey buddy,hope you guys heal quickly.Its always hard hearing stuff like that  when I have personal friends doing that same  work.And yes ,I get mad when I get a ticket undeservingly but when you think of what the GOOD,HONEST,STRAIGHT COP does in todays society with all these f'n crackheads and the like it makes me feel GRATEFULL to have these guys out there risking there lives for us.Imagine what the streets would be like WITHOUT OUR Law  Enforcement.

I'm sorry to hear it. Hope he is gentle with that shoulder and gets better soon.

sorry to hear about your partner and yourself. it's been rough on california lately. we lost 2 leos in the last week or so in non-work related accidents. really sorry to read about the office from your area. very ugly what some people will do. my condolances to his family and colleagues. take care and heal.

Don't know if you've been with the CHP long enough to remember George Patrick, but his daughter Cathy was my best friend when I was younger.

Gotta love the CHP. Any agency with guys as cute as Chip and Ponch are way up in my book.

Thank you all for the kind words. This guy is not only my partner but one of my best friends. His shoulder is not injured bad but he woke up this morning and his hand was swollen big time. He broke a bone in his hand. He said his shoulder hurt so bad he didn't notice the hand till this morning.

Shelly--I don't work for CHP. I just posted the news story to share. It was a pretty bad one.

PS-- I didn't get hurt on the job. I got hurt playing with a bunch of 8 year old girls. I'm the joke of the office right now cuz I got beat up by the Brownie Scouts.

GARD-Tell him to go to a natural food store and get a cream with Arnica. I've used it for years in karate, around horses, anything where you get injured. Tell him to slather it on three times a day and I guarantee you it will help with the swelling and speed the healing. Usually the sooner you put it on after an injury the better (not for open skin). It is amazing stuff.
