No yellowrose, I live in Florida. I just got good info. They re-entered him into the show, and this time a judge got to handle him. The growling all took place about 3-5 days ago. What happened is that he didnt feel safe enough because I wasn't there in is presence to "comfort" him. As for his growling it all seems to get better over the past 3-5 days.
He got SG4 out of 9 dogs.
He is entering three show and then entering the Sieger show, and then getting Sch. training.
His growling was only caused to discomfort since I wasn't there.
I believe Petra is training him, I think Petra Dexel not sure.
As my dog does not have weak temperment, he needs time to acclimate, and bond with trainer and handler so he can feel comfortable.
He has only been there 2 weeks.
He has a bigger show next sunday.
Thanks for you support!

His growling shows that he has weak nerves and no more money should be wasted on showing him.

the incident with Gus Elfar's dog was growling at another dog - the dog is a dominant dog that is known to be dog aggressive - coming close to another male dog on the podium caused him to growl etc - he was fine with the judges because he is not aggressive to people at all - that is far different than a dog growling at a conformation judge. Nothing similar to compare the two incidents.

I disagree.
Growling is growling and needs to be delt with. A SchH dog is suppose to be a superior companion EVERY WHERE- dominant dog or not. No excuses-

I disagree entirely also.....the rules now say your dog growls at anyone or anything your out of there...it is uncacceptable........GsKid already said previously his pup is dominant...to males and friendly to females....check post previously, that is a big indication that if this dog is not reprimanded and rewarded correctly he can turn out to be aggressive to other male dogs.....Gskid wasnt there....that is a pup Gus;s dog is a winner in the circles....he got repromanded....doesnt matter.....when your girl that owns your dog ,that won the FH, had her dog growl at another , would you have not warned her to do something about it now......and Im talking about Hawk.....what if he had growled at the other dog standing beside the dog on the othr end of Kandance? the evaluation of the whole incident was unexperienced handling of the dog:" somewhat , trying to handle his dog and take part in a ceremony......well maybe he and his dog, shouldnt have been there....he is on probationand has to have counseling and in a year , his dog will be tested again.....
Years ago this same thing happened in SAN ANTONIO AND IT WAS , A Staffordshire terrier,,,,and they threw him out of Schutzhund....he attacked another dog with aggression.............................................he was going for his SchH 2.......

Before this goes any further.....Molly is top award winner Gold, Bronze and silver and holds many years of schH titling in Schutzhund and has under her belt more than I , and has the very top of my respect.....do not in any way , think that I dont know that her word is gospel. , in almost everything.....she is accomplished and I am reading the pages right now of her pairs of '98 by Molly Graf with her own Eagle Von EIchenhuft , at the 2006 H.O.T. Championship Youth and Nat Ob Championship.......
Molly and I can disagree with out being ugly, so dont anyone hijack this thread and start a bunch of nonsense..................................

he turned around at Gus because Gus hung him up in response for his aggression toward the other dog. Gus' dog is dog aggressive - everyone knows that. No, it's not ideal temperament, but fact is, these dogs are all dominant, confident, alpha dogs and putting them nose to nose in a podium situation is difficult even without dogs that are dog aggressive. My dog is a strong dominant intact male dog that is not dog aggressive - but if another dog gets in his face I have to be on top of things, I know my dog and how to avoid conflict. Gus took care of the situation quickly but not quickly enough to avoid any show of aggression, he was probably distracted - who wouldn't have been? How many of you have climbed up on the podium at a National event? It is exciting and distracting to say the least. Still not the same thing as a dog growling at a person - judge or anyone else. Different situations and temperaments being described.
And thanks Yellowrose - I do hold those medals in addition to a Masters Gold - Eagle and I and the other dogs I have trained/titled from puppy have gone a long way together and taught me a great deal - does anyone realize that Gus' dog was his very first dog for Schutzhund? Just an interesting aside. He went all the way to World Team with his very first dog. Pretty impressive if I say so myself.
