If you read the website for Sunrise Shepherds it stated to contact us for more information on the Mother and Father.

It's amazing what happens when a few people quickly glance and jump to conclusions.  Then if you think that this database is the 100% complete accurate record of a pedigree you're mistaken.  I know you folks know better than that.

Molly, I have a great amount of respect for you and your breeding program.  I don't want to debate this on a messageboard but I would bet that if you were to evaluate this litter and the parents you would be impressed.  I learned about breeding and temperament from some of the best, I've been around since the late seventies.  I do not breed trash.  I've purchased titles dogs from Europe that I have chose not to breed because I didn't like thier temperaments.  The Title was on paper but the dogs true character was lacking.  I can not argue the fact that I am breeding untitled dogs but I am certain that I am breeding only dogs that are genetically breed worthy.

My pups are going to pet homes primarily but I do have dogs in SAR and some in Schutzhund.  I have been breeding for a lot of years and have an unblemished reputation.  You will have trouble finding anyone that is unsatisfied with a dog they purchased from us.  I always stand behind my dogs, you will not find one owner that is unhappy with how they were treated if there was an issue.  All of my breeding dogs are OFA, "a" stamp or Penn Hip and EVERY dog in the pedigree is also.

I have learned that my job is being outsorced to China next year.  Perhaps I will finally have the time to devote to Schutzhund sport and will be able to "prove" my breeding to you fine folks.

Let the bashing continue, just had to get my two cents in.

I can't speak for the rest, but my post was merely stating that I could not comment on a few pictures alone.  Why don't you put their info on there?  I know most pet people don't know or care to look at a pedigree, but it is nice to have.  Sometimes people feel that if you are leaving something out, you are hiding something.

When I updated the site last night I was interested in getting the puppy pictures up and getting the previous litter off the website.  I really hate sitting at a computer so the least amount of time on the website the better.  I even considered a link to them on this database but since the pedigrees on this database need updated I didn't do it.

You're correct, my buyers have little interest or knowledge of pedigrees.  80% of my buyers are repeat (yes I've been breeding that long) or word of mouth referrals.

I only visit this database once or twice a week so I guess I'm "lucky" I stumbled upon this.

I avoid posting here because it is so easy to get misinterpreted etc.  I had to step up to defend myself in this case though.

I understand, it appears that I am contributing to the demise of the breed.  I assure everyone that I am not breeding inferior dogs.  In fact ,since some here are breed wardens  you may be seeing some of my litters in the years to come.  Like I said, I may finally have the time it takes to devote to the sport.   I sincerely do not wish to argue nor do I have any ill will toward anyone here.  Just felt compelled to speak up.

I understand not having the time to title one's dogs due to jobs, family, etc. Still, how many untitled generations can one produce and still feel confident that they are breeding dogs to the standard?  I repeat: If you don't breed train/title/breed surveyed stock, how do expect anyone to feel confident you are producing top quality dogs?

My job whole department at the major regional newspaper I worked for went bye-bye last summer. Trouble is, now that I have the time, I am getting so old and get so sore I can barely work 4-6 dogs a day, and that in only 1 or 2 phases. Still, I slug through so I can better assess what I am breeding.

Just a few thoughts...

I guess I'm missing something, but I don't understand why the hips scores were never put on your site?
