I hope your friend is holding up and not beating herself over the loss.  IT'S NOT HER FAULT and I hope people are telling her that over and over. The pup is distinctive looking.  Good luck on the search.

What a doll! I hope that you get her back quickly. I also hope that your friend is recovering, please give her lots of support, (I'm sure you are) and let her know that many are thinking of her. jo

This is such a sad story!! That poor woman, I just can't imagine. The puppy was probably traumatized knowing the woman was in trouble and she couldn't help.  How old is the puppy? If it was in an isolated area she may be hiding because she's scared and will probably come out when she's hungry.  After what happened to that poor woman how can she POSSIBLY feel responsible? That responsibility lies with the violent criminal who attacked her! I hope they put him away for a very long time.  The puppy is just adorable, hopefully she will be found safe and brought back so they can be a comfort to each other and begin a healing process.

What kind of sicko rapes a 72 year old woman???  Someone needs to bury his crotch in some beef n gravy, take him to a Sch club and let everyone's dogs have lunch!  Would be better than putting him in a cell with Leroy!

Not only is this sad, but you see a growing trend of the elderly of owning small lap dogs. I find this sad, because if they would stick to the larger breed and have it trained so they can handle the pooch, they would have less crimes committed against them. My heart is with her finding that adorable pup. i am  very saddened this happened to her. When are we going to stand up and take this dirt off the streets>>>>

I also find this educational, how many of us own our beloved protectors and occasionally leave them home.

The puppy has been found! After days of door to door searches she finally turned up in an apartment building safe and sound. Timing is everything, as my friends grandchildren are coming tomorrow. Now they will get their puppy. I saw her today. She is doing good mentally but she's still having trouble talking as he almost choked her to death. Thank you for all your prayers and good wishes.

I am so very happy to hear this great news!    I hope now your friend will concentrate on getting herself better.  She will need all of her strength in the coming months to help put the slime away.  Let her know prayers and good wishes are being said for her.

And thank you so much for the update.
