Thank you! I do love my boy and tell that he's handsome all the time! Do you have a picture of your bitch?

Double Sieger Fanto may have been the most perfect GSD specimen that ever existed or was ever shown (at least in the top 2 or 3). I never saw him but know people that did and they said his confirmation, movement and temperament were awesome. The problem was that his producing ability was apparently not what was hoped for, but some of his progeny did better, especially the females.

We had the pleasure to meet Fanto vom Hirschel at his breeder's home in December of 1993. He was a great dog with super temperament and structure. His owner, Baldur Schulte was very proud of him and told me that he would have never considered selling him, as he was a one in a lifetime dog. We bred our female to him and came twice on two different days. Both dogs played together for some time (which is unheard of nowadays). A couple years later, we bred to him again and even left our female there for a few days.
Fanto was a great dog and had a wonderful owner! But as mentioned above, he seemed to have been the better female producer and will be memorialized in our pedigrees by his daughters. His brother Frei produced the male line (Quartz, Amigo). This line is a representative of the Canto line. Linebreeding on Fanto can produce oversize! There have also been some concerns with hips when linebreeding on Ica (Fanto's and Frei's mother) when combining lines with Nero Hirschel.
