VBK9    do you have well water?   I fought it for two years till someone in Arkansas said same thing to me   Yes and the copper and minerals are way too high and iron also ,,,It causes Giardia  and panacur for 5 days will help   or Albon for days   My vet didnt know why mine were doing the same and fecals were clueless ,,He didnt know I had well water, and never said anything....You have to filter the water...using a hose from the filter system like going into your home...but run it to the kennels.

I highly recommend Canine Complete from  www.thewholisticpet.com.   If you are feeding kibble or raw especially kibble this supplement will give you peace of mind that you are giving your dog every nutrient that he needs to lead a healthy and happy life

We give Vertex which is esential amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. When one of the dogs has mushy stools we add FastTrack (digestive enzymes and bacteria) for a couple of meals. We routinely feed two fish oil gel caps per day as well as glucosamine/chondroitin.

Vertex is readily available from various sources online. The main site is http://www.k9performance.com/. I can't find my link to FastTrack but can do a search if you're interested.

As Mentined by Trysil "Olewo" should firm up the stool, while really helping the coat.

VBK9,

Once per day the dogs get, in addition to their meal of Canine Caviar:
1 fish oil capsul
2 large spoonfuls plain yougurt
Vitamin A with Rose hips
Glucosamine/MSM/chondroitin
Solid Gold SeaMeal
A couple get baby raw carrots

You know what Abram, and the others, look like with this feeding program.

I use kelp, alfalfa and Ester C daily. We feed raw so they get the probiotics and such with the Kefir.

And...carrots will enhance the color in the coat. If a human ate too much they would also get an orange "tint". Mine get carrots as well.

I use K9 Power for the supplements. Great prices and service.

Right now I am feeding my dogs Solid Gold dry in the evening and and also am giving them Solid Gold seameal and cold pressed flaxseed oils. That is the only suppliments that I am giving them. In the morning I feed my Deli Fresh. They are doing good on this so far and I am happy with their energy levels.

Chaco gets Innova EVO for his base chow, and I add Nupro Silver, safflower oil, and a can of sardines.  I don't claim that it's magic but he's strong and healthy with a nice coat.

Yellowrose, I do have well water but the water bowls are filled from my house, if there were Giardia in it I think the humans in my house would have a problem, lol :)  Thanks all for the suggestions I will definatly look into them all.  Animules, do you feed all of those supplements at once or do you split it up between morning and evening?  I will have to send you some new pics of Kevlar, he is a mini Abe   Definatly not going to be as big, perfect size for me though, 60 pounds at one year old and talk about agile!  High quality food is not a problem, I have used FRR, Solid Gold and Chicken Soup for him, so far he seems to be doing the best on Chicken soup.
