I have spent many a day cleaning and oiling leather. God I don't miss that part of horses! I soak boots, saddles, anything else leather in water for a couple days to make it supple. Tie the stirrups under the saddle to eachother so they bow out along with the horses body. Oil the crap out of it, let stand until dry or use until dry. Best boots to have are the ones you get wet and wear until they dry. They fit to your foot perfectly. I just found my old ones in the garage last week. Still have spurs stuck in them. I removed the wires holding them on but the spurs are moulded into the boot. LOL
Yes these collars are hard as heck to find I have been looking for 6 months now and havn't found one worth spending the $ on. People at the club keep laughing at the nylon cheapy my pup wears. I can't use the, "he is still a puppy " line anymore. He is big enough to fit into a permanent collar now. I just can't find what I'm looking for. I'm not ready to settle for "whatever" yet. This is about as hard as finding the right dog.

Kalibeck, Thanks for telling us about K9 TOOLBOX. I was also looking for a nice leather collar. I love the black one inch wide with brass hardware collar and will be ordering it.

I got mine from LDS Leather and love them. Great quality and my dogs look fabulous with their matching name plates. Cost around $80-$120 depending on how much work you have done on them but I think well worth it. I had mine lined and stitched and love them.

Check these collars out.....I have used them for years and only get better with age. They have been around since 1982 and have a lifetime guarantee. They do have a web site:
pro-mohs.com
Pro-Mohs Pet Products, Greenfield, MN

Here's another one, Kramer Handgun Leather. They make great holsters so I imagine their dog collars are top quality also.

4pack yes they do have tons of stuff. It took over month to get mine because they custom make everything. I got the split D but the convertible dual duty looked kinda cool too. The top grain ratan latigo is what I ordered one lined with elk and one lined with calfskin but I see they have kid goat lining now too. The brass name plates are really really nice. I got one collar in burgundy and one in black and had silver stitching on one and red stitching on the other. You can literally find any kind of combination you need. Like I say though it takes a while but when I got mine I was thrilled with them.
