I DO want to celebrate the overall success of the event itself and applaud the organizers. I never meant to "tarnish" the event itself, although I am told my comments may have had that effect. For that I offer my profound apology, however late.

As I recall the show secretary was busy completing paperwork well away from the protection practice field and not present for any infraction of the rules.

The whole event seemed to be well organized, the venue was very nice, the atmosphere congenial, and although I got there too late for the show (lost in holiday traffic through NYC) I am told everything went off right on schedule. The hard-copy critiques for the breed survey were delivered promptly (a rare treat!) and the judge's dinner was held at a wonderful restaurant. I had a great time and I everyone I talked to seemed to share my positive experience. 

I want to thank the host club members for their kind hospitality and high spirits. The helper work was excellent, all dogs provided fair, SAFE opportunity to demonstrate their ability in the work.

I would encourage everyone to enter/attend/support heavily any event Schaeferhund SchH club event hosts in future. I know from long experience it is neither easy nor inexpensive for a club to host any event, let alone a Regional Championship! Not all clubs are up to the job. These guys really know what they are doing! Well done folks. I look forward to entering my dogs in your next event, the sooner the better!
