There's a couple things I like about the composition of the picture...
1) Your background is uncomplicated and contrasts well with your dog's coat color. In fact I think it would look better without the tail end of the ribbons hanging down as it competes with your dog for the viewer's attention.
2) Your camera is at the right level. It looks like your dog is standing up on a wooden platform, and that is certainly helping you to get the right angle. You can't just stand upright a few feet from your dog and shoot down to get the right perspective.
3) Good stack, darlin'. I can never get my little heathen to stand still long enough to pose for a picture. But I've got a working dog so he's supposed to be "ugly". LOL
