Just a quick note to Carol Keen. Please not let any of this get to you, these comments have been made by 'people who talk a lot and know nothing'.And I have some advice for Claire Balding and Caroline Cisko,'you should not criticize that which you do not understand'.
These comments about Lagos are not only a dig at the breed but also at the judge who put him forward. This is a Judge who I believe was 'passed by THE KENNEL CLUB to judge the GSD at this level' and who was 'invited by THE KENNEL CLUB to judge their so called prestigious event. So if the Kennel club feels that there has been a failing somewhere along the line they might just want to look at themselves, because if the dog in question was as bad as Claire Balding and Caroline Cisko are leading us to believe then surely they must be held responsible for Lagos representing the breed at Crufts.
I would also like to add that I do know the dog, and if they knew anything about him and the breed which he represents they would not be talking such crap on national television. If there was a health problem involved he would not have a hip score of 3:3,an elbow score of 0:0, Sch h 3, Korklasse 1, his breed Koerung and most certainly would not have completed is 20km endurance test. All of this which involved Vets and Breed Specialists!!

Neil (Bilko), excellent post. Though sadly, the unfortunate thing about this is that I actually believe the Kennel Club were aware of this dog and his qualifications, the fact that he was of Germanic type and breeding is precisely why they made the decision TO TALK about him in this way on National TV. Remember this interview was not screened until some 24hrs after Pastoral Day was over and all GSD exhibitors etc had left the building. This had given them more than enough time to research anything they had wanted to learn about the BOB winner. IMO the only reason this was staged was precisely because upon checking what won the GSD BOB the KC discovered it was yet another FIT FOR PURPOSE , GERMAN TYPE, GERMAN TESTED, GERMAN TRAINED DOG and not one of their beloved UK, dippy backed, unscored, shy, Alsatian types. So once again the KC felt the need to try to belittle our type of Shepherd to the Multitude of Pet Owning General Public who stayed at home to watch Crufts on the TV.
They (the KC) dont care these dogs have undergone more stringent Health Tests than the KC even know exist, all they care about is promoting the KC and those within it who lick their boots and say Yes Sir, No Sir three bags full Sir to any type of crap or undertaking the KC wish to dish out. Unfortunately for Carol Keen, her lovely dog just happened to be too good an example of a Healthy German Type for the KC to let it get away with winning at Crufts without disparageing the dog and demoralising the judge who promoted it (not to mention the dogs owner).
Carol, Neil was absolutely right about one thing, dont let their ridiculous comments get to you. We in the breed who have always been able to see the 'bigger picture' , can more than relate to the Politics at play here but please all of you, dont just think twice before entereing Crufts in the future, just dont enter full stop !!! Because while-ever you are prepared to provide them with the amunition, the KC will be more than happy to fire the bullets.

Dear Channel 4,
I want to make a complaint about the comments
made by Clare Balding on the Best of Breed German Shepherd Dog. Can you please confirm this interview between Clare and the KC rep Caroline Cisko was both staged and rehearsed specifically to make this particular reference to the German Shepherd Dog. If this was not the case, then please can you explain why it took the programme 24hrs after the German Shepherd judging was over to actually hold and screen this particular interview? Considering the occasion and nature of the discussion, these type of interviews are normally held on the same day as the relevant group of which the breed been discussed belongs.
I would just like to add that as a past and valued customer of DFS, and a regular visitor to their large showrooms at Thorpe Arch nr Whetherby , Leeds, if this type of bullshit reporting is what they want to be associated with as a sponsor, I shall refrain from frequenting their premises in the future and shall be passing these sentiments onto all my family, friends and neighbours, who by the way all admire the type of FULLY HEALTH CHECKED AND TESTED German Shepherd Dog your presenter chose to disparage. Awaiting your reply with interest. Yours Faithfully , Mrs S Belfield
We will wait to see what reply I get back to that, if any.

You will see absolutely plenty of the corrrect type of GSD if you visit the GSD League Regional show, advertised on this board. You will, I believe also be able to have a day out with Jesse, because unlike the daft KC run shows, this is an enlightened - Euro show, where the correct rules apply to things that matter. Mo
