Terminology changes over time.  We see that in our lifetime.   Words can also mean different things in different cultures.   Not to mention, scientific terms change.  Cyanobacteria used to be called blue green algae.   So, the term cud has probably changed since biblical times.   Rabbits do eat some of their droppings so that is probably what Leviticus is referring to in the passage about rabbits.

vk4: How so are my sentences dishonestly constructed? Every time I ask for proof of your disapproving assertions— I get crickets from you!

...lot of people asserting quite a bit as fact but doing a terrible job of supporting it. Opinions are like what, oh yeah...that.

Vk4, since you are searching for contradictions in Leviticus, I will save you some time over Lev. 11: 13-19.   Moses is not calling bats birds...the Hebrew word "owph" means "fowl/winged creature."   So, there was a an interpretation problem in that passage.   Obviously bats qualify as winged creatures.

Vk4, it is not equitable to compare the way in which biblical people classified organisms to our modern methods of taxonomy.  Heck, domains were not a part of taxonomy until around 1990.  Scientists now use DNA to classify.  Taxonomy, like most branches of science, is subject to change as scientists make new discoveries.

Gg you comparing science the work of man as an explanation of natural processes backed by multiple lines of evidence and subject to change when the theory doesn't fit the facts to the literal word of god the guy who sits outside of time and space and created everything. just with word and saw both the beginning the end and all moments in between as one and the same thing??

LMFAO, simple and you continue to argue fairy tales. And there will be some disappointment in the end.

What do mean by "arguing fairy tales"? An invention to scare children? Or, a purposeful lie?

What I am comparing is ancient terms and classification to modern terms and classification.  Plain and simple.  Terms and taxonomy have changed.

Both fairy tale,, fable r myth both to explain a mystery in a pleasing but non verifiable way to serve several roles; to comfort, to give hope, to gain compliance and social order, to gain power and the techniques are the same promise of great rewards for compliance eg eternal heaven and great punishment for non compliance eg eternal hell. like fsiry tales they work best on the illiterate the ignorant the innocent and the feeble minded. Not all children will stay illiterate. or ignorant some are born with a lot of intelligence that's why it isso ctucial to burn permanent scars into their psyches while they are still lack the maturity, knowledge and experience to defend themselves ie the against the systematic trauma and mind control like jesus camp catholic fear induced compliance etc.
