Ya, mine too Max.
I really hope he is as bad as some on here think, for the thought of them gunning down an innocent man in front of his wife and child is too horrible to imagine.

RS,
This does not make any since to me. 3 Swat teams for
a pot smuggling warrant, To search the house, not to arrest
this Marine. A Swat team for the Hells Angels or the Medellín Cartel
maybe...The other thing is they came up empty handed on all
4 suspected homes.... Something is fishy.

But sometimes there are things the public can not know for the protection
of informers....So I will wait for a full investigation.

Sue, ...Officers are taught how to avoid this by following a strict procedure,
I would want to see the information that will be released. But standing in the
hallway of your home with a rifle is not grounds for a life threatening posture
aginst Police officers....

With the house surrounded you get on the bull horn and tell the suspect to come out unarmed.
If he is flushing drugs and defending himself with a gun that is different. But he was not.

Raids can get very out of hand quick. Some times misinterpreting a non threatening situation.

My gut feeling is somebody wanted this man dead.....But I have been wrong before.

Max,
You don't understand because you have no experience.  Easy to sit back and judge from the safety of your key board.  Yes, you are wrong again.  Sorry, this is a very sensitive subject for me.  I have made dozens of entries on search warrants, probably over a 100.  I've been shot at and watched my buddy die at the front door next to me.  I went through a year and half of morons with misinformation in the media telling us how we should have done our job.  Check your gut my guess is it's indigestion that is bothering you. (I'm not referring to you as a moron, my comment is directed at the blogs and comments that were in the media for our warrant.)

Jim,
My guess is you have never been to War, but you don't now me
and I don't know you. If this was not a veteran I would not commit.

So STFU and have a beer....

The Vietnam War cost the United States 58000 lives and 350000 casualties. ...

I have worked for 3 Law enforcement agencies....Some of the sheriff's deputies  are not worth a shit.
They  were car salesman...now they make life and death decisions.

And to say  Marines are pampered in Iraq ..pisses me off, but I don't get emotional about it
But I have the right If I choose to....Believe me you have nothing over me you little prick.
I leave the possibility for an explanation. You jump right in and say it is a shut case.

Max,
Quite the Christian response from you. You worked for three Police Departments? Doing what?  Were you ever a Police Officer, a SWAT operator....Then you my friend should STFU.  I never said Marines were pampered you need to read a little better and try to grasp what is being said.   I said exactly the opposite.  Take your Geritol and Metamucil and calm down.  I never said it was a shut case....I said the Police will not try the case in the media as the defense will.  The Police will save their evidence for court as their are multiple defendants in this case.  It was more than a Pot Smuggling search warrant, but nice try trying to minimize the offense.  It was a narcotics and Home Invasion investigation.

Please re read all of the reports and try to get the whole picture.  The fact that he is a veteran really has nothing to do with this case.  I'm sure he served well over seas, but so do thousands of others and when they return home are not criminals.

Jim,
"Yes, you are wrong again"...   Wrong about what?..so far I thought I was batting a 1000!
The media is full of cow pucky....everyone knows that.

But fellow officers are looking into this. not a bunch of liberals.....

The one thing that I would like to know is who the shooter was on the relatives of this Marines wife,
March 30 2010..and if it was related. It was a home invasion...So this may be where it is going. I
Never make assumptions but you well know I do speculate as do you. I have seen things that defy explanation.
Once a Police Captain during a alcohol recovery cession pulled out a flask of whiskey, took a shot and
put it back in his jacket. Needless to say he was not on his way to recovery just yet.
If they thought it was the Marine that was the shooter in 2010, they my have acted with a mind set... That's why I will wait for
an explanation. Eather way I won't be wrong because I am not putting anyone on trial.

(Never says too much of anything, Jim. "Being There", a '79 movie, explains it. He's the gardener, according to himself.)

So, it always ends.

Happy Memorial Day to you Jim, please give Boomer a what? ... not a a hug from me, but something he likes! LOL
laugh

On topic, I will say, using a SWAT team for drug raids happened not far where I am, and a death did occur where the homeowner had no weapon, but not responding in a rational way ended in death. In hindsight it was overkill and didn''t have to happen that way. While there was a crime present, death should not have been the consequence. It seems like some people here don't think the cops do anything right, yet, who are they gonna call when they need someone (with a gun)?

Max, do you not remember what you wrote a little while ago? You can go back and read your own posts. It must be me because I often have trouble following your analogies and your thought process. You add very colorful tidbits that really do not pertain to the thread. A captain pulling out a flask and you were there to see this? Was this 60 years ago? Sorry, I don't see the relevance. But, I prefer to be direct and not respond with stories as ny examples. I suppose I am too simple and straight forward for you. I answer questions directly and post the same way. Too much gets lost in translation on the Internet.

Jim, there's a circle in sector 12 and when you talk to her, make sure you take good boots because it is monday and on maondays the soup of the day is always the day before tuesday, but I woudnt go alone if you're not with anyone that said that.

Jim, don't be silly trying to be relevant and all. Max is too busy trying to baffle them with bullshit! If the guy was once upon a time a Marine, he can/could do no wrong!

I have been married 3 times in my short life, all 3 are or were in the military. Only 1 was honorable to his duties and his family. 1 out of 3 aint that great! Lucky for me, 3rd times a charm and this ones a keeper.
