It is funny how you chose just this video out of many where his ears do not go down at all.But this is a good video to learn from.First of all his ears do not go down and stay down as in the video which started this whole issue, secondly there is something going on in this video and that is you have to ask yourself why does the decoy goes down on his knees and watch closely when the decoy gives the bite the ears are not down. There are all kinds of thing you can learn from watching the trainers at this kennel and at times i feel that they tend to put too much pressure on a dog as well but they know how to back up at the right time and when to reward the dog with a bite.It is all about how confident you want your dod to look in protction and your proper training has alot to do with it.This is certainly a great dog and i have been watching him since he was 8 weeks old. One of Vito's many great progney. Have a nice one.

Steve-
That's a terrible puppy. I think you should put her in a crate straightaway and send her to me.
Better still, bring her in person.

Hope all is well, No, i am not that kind as to send her over, By the way her Daddy went for the Regional Trial last Sunday on his way to the Selectional trials this month and April  for this years WUSV,  They had 100 mile an hour winds heavy rain and cold to contend with it was an awful day for Dogs and handlers and us spectators
He Scored 96 - 97 - 95 so is on track again

Yes Jim, we can all agree that ears most definetly do not tell the whole story.

Steve,
With those ears back your dog is showing extreme fear!  You can tell the handler is trying to push her towards the helper but she is resisting.  Lucky for him she has her pacifier in her mouth or he would suffer a severe fear bite I'm sure.  Your only hope for her is to ship her to me ASAP.  I can't promise you anything but I will do my best.  LOL!

Hey Jim,

Funny you mention the tail swirl. Yoshy will do the clockwise swirl on all prey and long bites as well on his way out of the house to the truck. Its hilarious to me. But his tail goes rigid, lips curl, nostrils flare, pupils dialate, and give a rasp on the end of his barks, and his breath changes dramatically when he is pressured into defense, I need to get some videos. I like what you did with those.Keep them coming!

Nice tip on the high on the toes. never thought about that. Makes sense though.

From what I know of tails and how they might go into a propeller is for balance....like a rudder of a boat...helps in steering them.Look at videos of dogs going round blinds and if there is a change in direction look at the change of tail position.Yes I know some dogs don't have tails...but for the ones that do that is what they use them for.Think of it.

Held are you talking about a video of Basco with his ears never going down, because I didn't see it? The shitter had them down quite frequently on the bites and half the time barking. Should we take him round back and shoot him?

Deb
Yes, I am sure you could cure her of her fear, Many have said they would try and cure her of it on here if i send her over to them but i have to do it alone. Todate i have failed miserably , but will stick at it
