I don't know much about showing, so I'm not going to comment there other than you have a handsome boy IMO and if you want to start showing you may want to try to stack. I think he's still in a gangly teenager stage. He's starting to develop a nice masculine head. As for breeding, it's way too early to think of breeding IMO. Have you done prelims on his hips, or pennhip him? I wouldn't think of breeding until his hips are done and past two years, and titles are on the dog. You say you're doing tracking/protection/obedience, are you planning on doing Schutzhund with him, or just showing?

Sounds like you are doing really well and having great fun with your dog :)

Conformation wise he looks good for his age.  He is a bit too bunched up and off-balance in the stacked shots.  Plus the angle of the photo shot needs to be more level with the dog's body, not taken from above, so that his structure can be better seen.  Because of his tail set, I'm thinking he may be a tad steep in the croup, but cannot tell accurately because of the angle of the photos.

There should be handling classes in your area as well, if you are wanting to show in AKC or UKC these handling classes will help you a lot.
If you are wanting to show in WDA or UScA then you are best off to hire a handler (while you bait your dog/double handle from outside the ring.)
Either way, you'll need to teach your boy to accept having his body handled all over, having his feet picked up and placed in position.

When stacking your dog, always start at the front end.  You position his front legs/feet by the elbow only (don't actually pick up the feet themselves) Sometimes I will lift a dog's entire front end using my arm on it's chest just in front of the forelegs, this way the forelegs usually end up perfectly level to each other (note, this method doesn't work very well on heavy dogs, depending on person's strength.)   Once the front legs are ok then you move to the back legs.  When moving the back legs, only do it by the dog's hock, no need for your hands to be anywhere else on the dog's rear legs.   I usually start with the leg closest to me (and furthest from the camera or judge.)  Imagine a straight line from the top point of the hip to the end of the knee to the paw, that is where the foot should be, and if the dog has the correct angulation, it will look good and balanced there.  With the other leg, the hock should be straight and perpendicular to the ground and forming a perfect 90 degree angle.   But, most dogs do not have perfect rear angulation, so the rear feet often need to be placed differently to compliment the dog's angulation if you want the dog to look good in a stack.  A good judge will be able to tell if a dog has incorrect angulation even if it is stacked well.

BTW, have fun practicing stacking with your dog :)  usually takes a million sessions, try to keep them short and light-hearted/fun so that your dog doesn't hate it.  In the beginning, it's more important just to teach your dog to stand still and accept the manueverings rather than actually getting the feet in the right place.

Thanks for the feedback, as for breeding i know its wayyyyyyyy to soon to think about it i was just looking for opinions from knowlegable people. And i agree he does look a little gangley still being in the teenage stage. I have not yet done any hip prelims. I deffinitly plan to do schutzhund work once me & him are at that level. I have thought about showing him but really dont have anything to go on from his looks compaired to a top show line and a shepard that shouldnt be in a show ring. and as for the photos i agree they were just done by my girlfriend and werent for the "stacked" professional photos. just something for people to go on :) thanks for the feed back much appreciated. And thanks very much about his pedegree he definitly wasnt a cheap shepard :)

I think that he is certainly worth showing, even without great stack photos he looks like a well put together dog.

Since he is W. German showlines and you plan to do schutzhund with him then you may be best with sticking to WDA or UScA shows.  The most important thing about showing dogs is conditioning them, as in...lots of physical training/workout in trotting.  Best way to do this is go jogging or on bike rides with your dog, make sure he is trotting, not running.   You will need to do this anyways for the AD (a 12 mile endurance trot that is required before getting a sch/ipo1 title.)
Start out slow and short trips and work your way up.  Avoid working too much on hard surfaces that will jar his joints.
Also, still get him used to being stacked and handled by strangers.  In the German style show ring it is expected that you hire an experienced handler to show your dog while you draw your dog's attention to you from outside the ring.
I don't think it will be difficult at all for your dog to get an SG or a V rating (V rating only if he has working title and hips/elbows done)
Actually, since he is 13 months already you can go ahead and get his hips and elbows done now through a-stamp.  Just have the x-rays sent to Germany via WDA or UScA.

Are you a member of a well established schutzhund club?

for me ,without seeing him in person, the first photo looks likehe can use 3/4 more lbs. i  hate fighting with people over keeping them as skinny as an anorexic teenage girl. if he is active and burning those calories, wouldn't YOU like a bit more food. all of my dogs eat 3 times a day.i have the time to clean up after them :) but i believe a dog should eat in  the am and pm.                                why ONE BIG MEAL??? because the bag says so.
