"BUYERS BEWARE" ( LaReed Shepherds ) - Page 1

Beware of Kevin Reed of LaReed Shepherds located in south Louisiana. October 2015,I placed a deposit on a puppy, shortly after,, he began pressuring me for the remaining amount of money. I placed the first female deposit for pick of the females. He chose to say if he could not get the rest of the money, he would allow someone who would give the full amount to have the first pick. He first said he needed the money for Christmas gifts and later said he needed it to pay bills. This went back and forth with multiple threats. I received no pics etc as promised when placing the deposit. I had major concerns with his vaccination and worming schedule. He stated he was raising the price after he could not get the entire amount. (puppy less than 1 week old) Finally he gave me a date to pick up my puppy at 5 weeks old when he originally said he keeps them until 8 weeks old. On the date he stated, I drove to Lafayette La. to get my puppy. When I informed him I was 15 minutes away, he contacted me to say he did not have the AKC papers. He insisted that he had applied for the papers, but AKC confirmed he had not. I became tired of it all and requested to have my deposit refunded, which he declined. I informed him that I would be filing a civil suit. He sent numerous harassing texts, stated he would be glad to meet me in court and foolishly spoke of bringing multiple character witnesses to court. I filed, he was served, he did not respond in the time required by the court resulting in the court finding in my favor. He has now gone off the grid. I will not drop it and it is not so much about the money as it is about not allowing someone to get away with a con.
This is not an attempt to slander as I have the legal papers and all the text messages etc. that I submitted to the clerk of courts. This is an attempt to warn individuals of this individual so that no one goes through what I went through.
