Just asking to see what lines are known for hardness and being extremely civil...? Drive would also be something to consider... I own a young male thats 5/8ths  Perle de Tourbiere with tons of drive and showing rock solid nerves early on whom I plan on doing Schutzhund with.. I'm just wanting to see what the other lines of Malinois bring to the table.. Will be looking for a female later on down the road so just doing some early research so I can have an idea as too which way I want to go and then research that some more, lol...... Thank you for reading my message...

So let me guess, this is your first Malinois and you've done nothing with it so far other than practice training and now you figure you'll get some easy knowledge and become a breeder?  Marvelous.  Instead of just looking for the keyboard way out, why not go to some trials of FR, SchH and IPO and speak to people face to face and learn.  Dogs cannot be trained from the Internet and the world does not need another back yard Malinois breeder.  Every day there are young Malinois being sold here because the people who originally got them had no idea what they were in for and now are trying to dump unwanted dogs on someone else.  Enjoy your "one" dog and learn from him, don't add to the Malinois piling up in rescues.

Thank you for your answer and opinion... Now to those who wish to answer the question.. What are some good lines to consider for further  reseach on my part? Thanks in advance..

Read Sunsilver's comment genius, it's probably the best thing she's ever contributed to these discussions.  Do your own leg work and learn, stop trying to look for the easy way out, like I said, learning about dogs takes man hours, not something to be learned from a video game.

Negativity only hurts you not the person the negativity was directed... Why do you turn something so beautiful and abundant into something dark and wretched?  You read my 1st paragraph and automatically assumed I want to be back yard breeder/peddler. And that I have not been to seminars or done the leg work for the answers I seek..etc etc.. Or that I'm a complete novice when it comes to working dogs.. That can be the furthest from the truth.. I am what I am and you are what you are, a creator is never in competition with a competitor... Hmmmmm.... This forum is just another avenue (way) or tool one uses to get the knowledge one seeks.. Remember the old saying "what you put out today comes back to you tomorrow." So put out good things and good  will come to you.. Put out bad things and well............. The question still remains to other forum members.. What lines are worth researching...

And Rome wasn't built in a day, and if you want a Harvard education you go to Cambridge, MA not on-line to the University of Phoenix.  Sorry it was YR that I meant to reference in my last note.  don't get it.

Maybe you need to visit GErmany OR HOLLAND BEFORE YOU MAKE any rash statements. on breeding...I am not gonna go into it...BUT!!!

GET on a PLANE and go visit the top breeders for a week or so and make the rounds and get serious about your RESEARCH on serious bloodlines and breeding.. In Germany or Belgium not here in the USA.

In fact stay a month with a German family who breeds top gsd..learn learn learn and look and listen.

I totally understand your sentiments and agree to an extent... My reasoning to you is that there is nothing wrong with asking board members opinions on what they consider the best (proven from generation to generation)... Thank you for reading this message... p.s. Do you compete with Mals and if so what are you winning with?

Who Is your male out of? You say he is 5/8th Perle de Tourbiere right? Send a link to his pedigree and I will see what lines may match up best with him. Also it all depends on what you want to bring to the table in your future litters put some of that information in and I can hopefully lead you on the right path.

On another noteI think that Duderino is Phil don't listen to him he is a persnickety prick that thinks he knows everything.

I take exception to that implication, I believe I am my own man.  Do I know you?
