Sweet vid; so glad Sonya was rescued, what a dear (old ?) dog -
actually she must have been fairly young when she started her
10-year vigil, those teeth look pretty good for an older dog !
The best bit was seeing her obvious relief when she had all that
coat removed; I'm sure the matts were as crippling for her as any
arthritis.

Yes Hunmatter I think so. She look like a pup after her hair cut. Her teeth and her eyes are very good. aren't they?

I have a girl who was brought from a shelter many year ago, she was old at that time, now she is blind, with arthritis However her teeth remain very good during many years. Now of course they are not so good but she still have almost all of them.

Maybe having to scavenge for / hunt down their own food can
(sometimes) mean strays keep good, tartar-free teeth ? I noticed
they said on the video they had to pull one of them.
Mind you I have seen rescued dogs with awful teeth, too ...

Yes Hundmutter, me too, there are a lot of causes of teeth in bad conditions.
