Kane: 1-2 year old male shepherd available at the Central Missouri Humane Society-a large boy, rambunctious, basically untrained-social.
Has shown strong interest in the flirt pole. Shelter is wanting to find an experienced person to adopt this boy and give him a job.

Is that good news? I hope so....there's just so many of these poor dogs cast off like used napkins, it gets discouraging knowing that the clock runs out for some.

For what it is worth, German Shepherds are extremely popular in this area and listings rarely last very long either for the shelter or on Craigslist. There had been a lot of local interest but his high energy put off a lot of people (a good thing . . ?) The shelter was planning to place him in an experienced home.
Supposedly the shelter will give selected dogs up to a year for adoption-they also work with Rescues, they also euthanize dogs upon entry-be it owner surrender or from Animal Control depending outcome of testing, etc.
