got this forwarded from Fred Lanting. sounds like a good dog for someone. if interested, pm me for the e-mail address.
I wanted to tell you about this lost GSD my neighbor showed me. He is super sweet, loves kids and will play fetch with them ALL DAY (stick, ball, etc... and Shad played with him with the bite tug, loved it and has a jaw like a steel trap that some Schutzhund people only dream of!), neutered (male) and calm. He is majorly focused on fetch... ALL he wants to do is work. Housebroken, probably has always been an indoor dog. He has been in the house and indicates (scratches the door) when he has to go out. I just bathed him and put Frontline Plus on him, brushed him really good with the undercoat rake and cleaned his ears, etc., today and he is so happy! Anyway, he has been hanging out between 2 houses with kids and he just plays with them all day. At night he sleeps on one of the porches or between the 2 houses, although I think the lady will bring him in now that she knows he's housebroken. I took him to the vet, but no microchip found. I posted him online and no one has called to claim him. The family that he hangs out most with in the neighborhood (5 yr old girl, 8 yr old boy, and a teenage boy) already have 2 dogs and they want me to find him a great home ASAP, as the kids are starting to get attached (he's been there about a 4-5 days). This dog would be great for someone who wants that shepherd friend/companion he's always dreamt of. When Shad took out that bite tug for a couple minutes, this dog lit up and looked at Shad in a new light. I'm telling ya - this dog is cool! Anyway, he is free to a GREAT home. If you have any GREAT takers, give me a call or email! The people said they don't want to call animal control, but they can't afford to feed/care for him and the kids are getting too close.

have no idea sunny, the comments I posted is the only info I have. he looks young in the pics. also looks like a w/l to me. I have asked the people to contact me if they don't find a home and before animal control gets involved. I'm not an ideal situation to do rescue but I'm sure there are good homes for a dog like this.

Is there anyway we can get him to colorado , i will take him. i have a friend who has a rescue. and will give him a forever home.

I hope someone can give him a home. If Fred says he's a good dog, he's a good dog.

heard back from the people and looks like he is going to a rescue in N.H. named Peace and Paws. hopefully they find him a good home.
