What everyone should realize is that the so-called "shelter" industry is a very competitive and conflicted one, with lots of hidden agendas and corruption. Private rescues, despite all good work and lovely intentions, are standing in competition with government contractors and agencies, which make money and budget off of impounded animals. These agencies hardly have the best interests of animals at heart, and would gladly take on more than they can handle, even raiding private rescues, then crying that they must kill so many animals, and need more money.
Interesting article with a lot of insights, here..

Better off dead is my motto, rather than a life of misery.
It's a shame that we can't put down humans who cause such suffering.
I think you should call it a day.

Whats really mind boggling to me is that you (DDR-DSH) can still post on this board. Can someone please explain to me (other than DDR-DSH) why after being convicted of dog abuse this is tolerated? Ive taken in too many rescues from situations like hers and quite frankly it fucking pisses me off. And how she can get more dogs - well there is something wrong with that. I'm sure that she wasn't rehabbed. So if she did it once......................
Why cant people like this be blocked from the site? Let the forum vote her off if need be.
