Even a dog that is from parents that aren't"proven" as in titled (as far as I know) can be a good dog that is protective and well balanced. I took him from some people that didn't want to take care of him anymore. He was living out in the back yard with limited human interaction but he loves people and naturally knows when someone isn't suppose to be here at a place that we just moved to Easter weekend. When my friend's parents pull up the dogs don't bark. They know they are ok and suppose to be here.If anyone else comes they alert with serious barks but if there are elk in the back they have the prey bark...although Zane has more of a deep loud serious bark with critters. He isn't fond of other animals but loves people when I introduce him to them. I guess that is why I don't only go for dogs that have titled. There are dogs out there that are worth having if you know how to read a dog. Zane has been an asset.

My dogs only bark at people when they are in the back yard (with the exception of Lina, who barks at everyone) I wish Galan would bark at people when they come to my door. It won't take much to train him to, as he does bark on command... I have been weary though because the last time I mentioned that I wanted him to bark at people at the door I was told to be careful what I wish for LOL

P.S. Love the picture! Very nice head, in my humble opinion :-)

Even after I shush her, she grumbles... little witch... hahaha! She just doesn't have the confidence my own chis have, I guess.
Usually when company comes if Galan is inside and someone knocks the dufus grabs a toy and brings it to the door.
Sigh.... Yeah you can come and rob me blind, as long as Galan can show you his toys. Heck, as long as they don't try to take any of HIS stuff...If they did they'd better be good at tug-o-war... hehhehe
