Just wondered if there was an easy way to find out more about where our GSD came from originally from his ear tattoo. We adopted him from a shelter where he was surrendered by the previous owners so we had some information about his general health, temperment, etc. (not to mention the fact that he was not being very cooperative to staying in a kennel for 10 hours a day while they were gone). We don't plan to show him even in an obedience class but we do get frequent compliments on him even from those who know GSD's and would love to know more about his background if possible.

The tattoo is usually associated with the kennel. Perhaps if you post it, someone may be able to help. It's always good to know their background, I'd be just as curious. Glad you found him!
