It makes me sick that they're using these dogs in their tug of war.  Why would the "trainer" even consider giving them back?  Well, I guess money talks.   I wish they would've chosen Labradoodles!  www.cnn.com/2010/SHOWBIZ/TV/03/12/gosselin.family.dogs.ppl/

I remember watching a couple episodes when they first got the pups and all I could think of is OMG what complete chaos this is going to be.  8 little kids and 2 pups in an already chaotic and crazy house.  I wondered at the time why they got 2 pups and didn't just try to deal with 1??

My guess is that these pups will be left with the trainer who I'm sure for a nice fee will return the dogs to them trained.  Question is who will train the kids and Kate?? lol

Where did they get these pups?  Anyone know?

For the ratings.  No other reason at all.

I wouldn't even dream of getting a GSD pup if I had that many kids, unless I had at least a hour every day to escape the mad house and be alone with my dog.

The utter insanity of trying to care for eight kids, plus housetrain a pair of puppies, and keep them out of trouble...No way.  Wouldn't dream of it.  Too much trouble.  And she's a neat freak, which makes living with that many young critters a nightmare...Kids making messes, puppies making messes...nightmare city!

In a divorce, everything becomes war.  I remember back when I first heard about their kids, and how she was so dominant and Jon so submissive...I wondered how long a man would stand for being treated the way he was...He lasted longer than I expected.  Most men I know would have told her to take a flying leap long before the second pregnancy...before the first one, even.

It's funny how Wernersville Pennsylvania is always mentioned in the news articles about these two from the beginning of their Showbiz.

I have to laugh, because around here, when Wernersville is mentioned, it's usually in reference to the State Asylum for the Chronic Insane or another serious Ghost sightings on a trail somewhere.  LOL

I knew from the beginning with Wernersville always mentioned like a key word ... this reality show was going to be interesting. So fitting too.  LOL

I would never sell these people a dog!! I don't care how much $$ they paid me. They shouldn't even have the kids that they have.They are going to need some major therapy if they aren't already getting it. Poor dogs.

Well I'm sure with the money that was being raked in it had a lot to do with why the man stayed as long as he did OR he couldn't afford to leave sooner.  Could you imagine what child support would be for 8 kids???

I'm sure with a full time housekeeper and cleaning ladies her house doesn't look like she has 8 kids.  Those pups sure were cute though.  Were they show line or working lines?  I can't remember.

I don't watch the show, from what I've read, they're both idiots.  I just think it's a shame that when GSDs are in the spotlight, it's not a positive light.  I don't know that I've ever heard what lines they're from.  Poor kids, poor dogs.

Raymond/Duval, you wasted your own time, but obviously you have enough to waste.  There was no secret what this thread involved as the title says it all.  If you had no interest why would you not only read it, but comment?

I was going to copy a picture I found of the dogs, but I realized that it was probably copyrighted and to do so might be copyright infringment, so I won't, but it was a pic of the two Shepherds in a beat up, rusty large dog crate in the back of a pickup..WOnder what they were thinking as they were shipped off?

I didn't care for the show or the players, for many, many reasons.  These poor dogs got the short end of the stick.  Imagine being the kids, though...that's even worse.
