IF YOU ARE A RESCUE GROUP AND WOULD LIKE THE FULL ADDRESS PLEASE EMAIL ME AND I WILL PROVIDE IT. PLEASE POST TO THE MOON AND BACK. THEY ARE ACTIVELY SEEKING ANOTHER DOG.

just received a call from an animal hospital.
A 2 yr old Corgi was just brought in with a second break, 1st one a yr ago, this break is a different leg and the leg has 3 breaks in it. The father was overheard loudly on phone saying this is the 3rd time their 14 yr old daughter has done this. First time to their 11 yr old pom. They are adopting another dog they next week from either a North Carolina rescue/shelter or a North Dakota rescue. We don't know the breed of this dog.
They asked the vet about euthanasia as they don't want to pay the vet bill. Hospital will turn dog over to me if they sign off on her and we are working on it. Animal control will be called in on this tomorrow.

If anyone knows rescues who do out of state adoptions, please send to them. I would hate to see this new dog get into their hands.

Hey Sam, I have a DNA list that I apparently inherited from the woman who started it and then disappeared. She just randomly picked me to be the "queen"....We did get that one on the list last week.

If anybody wants to join that group, apply; if anybody wants to read it, I THINK it's readable by anyone (if not, I'll go in and change it). You can look at it here: Home page pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/DNAorDNR/

That daughter sounds like a serial killer in the making. Very scary.

Poor dogs.

Those parents better get that kid on some meds before she decides to off them in their sleep.

I agree about the serial killer daughter.

VomMarischal, I'm just passing that one along since was the only one on a list who would do so.

A moratorium on puppy breeding for a year sounds like a great idea to me based on some of the stories I've read lately.

Edited to add: I don't do rescue myself but I admire people who have the compassion and the guts to do it. I am temperamentally unsuited for it since I would find myself saying to idiots "What's wrong with you! what kind of heartless moron are you to think a living creature is disposable!"  No, I'm definitely not suited for it. I honestly don't know how good folks like Steph and Hodie do and did it without total burnout. But I'm glad people do rescue and I'll contribute financially when possible.
