well, rather than hijack another thread currently going, i thought i would post this. i love rottweilers, they were "my breed" years ago and the only reason i don't have one today, is they are hard to come by where i live. they also don't run too well with a bike. there are way too many people prejudiced against them. i have 2 friends i have visited with my gsd mixes and pure gsds that told me if i ever got a rottweiler i would not be allowed to visit with it. well anyway i found this on a yahoo search and i think it is really cool www.dogwatch.net/myths/dog_heros.html some positive stories of real life canine heroes.

It has to do with breeding and purpose of breeding.
There are exceptions to every rule tho.

Moons, do you mean breeding of the people or the dogs? LOL

Yes, of course genetics plays a role, but even more so, management has the biggest effect, providing dogs are of sound mind genetically.
