This morning I received a scam email from someone who I know through this site. The email says she is stuck in Great Britain, after having all her money stolen and I am supposed to wire money to help her. I doubt seriously that she has been in Britain recently, but I am certain the email is not from her. Just a warning to all of you that the scammers are at it and take email addresses and names off this database and then send to others who are also on this database. I am sure they also send emails to people not involved in dogs using our names too. Be careful about this. If anyone wants to know whose name was used this time, let me know. The woman is the owner of the great Triumphs' Guc. (you supply the rest of the name of the dog).

I am forwarding the email and header to yahoo and asking that the account be terminated. They will do so, but the scammer will just use another email account to continue.

Hodie.......I heard of that same scam a few months ago.....same person.

This person is claiming to be Lida. And they know my name. They have also now provided an address for me to wire money. If anyone in England near Essex is reading this, let me know. I would like to see if we can get the police involved and bust this person.

Hodie,

is this arizona black shepherds, cause that is who it happened to a few months ago? do not answer back and be careful opening those emails. they have control of that persons email account.

people if you get an email asking for your login info do not give it out no matter how real it looks. contact the provider directly.

I received the same email today.

Has anyone told Lida about this?

you are receiving these emails cause they have whoevers address book. someone needs to contact the victim and tell them to contact the provider to freeze the email account.

if you do answer back be careful over the next few weeks cause they have an email address that they know works and will probably try to get your info next.

Louise,

I have emailed Lida through her website. I do not have her private address. I have also informed the email provider that this is a scam and I am trying to find someone in England to set up a sting (probably a waste of time). They know her name, they know my name but they don't write English very well. Email me privately if you would like to compare email information and addresses.

Thanks GTR, who knows where they get this information. It is easily obtained here and elsewhere.

I'm stuck in Indiana and I need money to get out.  Please help.

by hodie on 20 February 2010 - 19:02

 Keith,

If I help you get out of Indiana, will you help me get out of trouble too?

LOL.
Regards.

When one right clicks on "properties" of the sender, the sender definitely has Lida's yahoo email address.
