HAHAH  I was not trying to further their cause.  I feel this kind of bizzare action actually detracts from the actual serious problems of animal abuse and neglect.  I have noted that PETA has been a source of discussion before on this board.

It happened at a foo foo show who cares? Notice they don,t have the nerve to show up at a Working  Trial maybe the idea of confronting a dog that bites is a little scarry for them. I can hear the announcer now Oh did you see the hit that young (man or lady) took with the PETA shirt on, on the long bite? too bad they didn,t have a sleeve and barged onto the field during the bite work. I,d have to give 5 extra points to the dog. 10 if the dog took them down!

I would pay good money to see them try to disrupt a working trial.  They care more about being shocking and getting publicity than actually helping animals.

And Pedigree did air quite a number of commercials about adopting dogs during the show, and AKC supports breed rescues, so it's not like the dog world is unwilling to help homeless pets.

What gets me more than anything is how PETA always says they "aren't behind the protest", but add that they support it.  What idiots.  People are so stupid it amazes me.  If there aren't any purebred dogs, there won't be any mutts.  Further, you can't adopt an intact mutt, except maybe from a private party, so where do people think this is headed?  Most idiots can't make that connection.  Maybe this will be aired on the next HBO spot on what good, ethical work they're doing.  Personally, I won't know, since I canceled my subscription.

AKGeorgias mom,

I agree.  Well put.
