tHE HISTORY CHANNEL DID A SPECIAL NOT LONG AGO ON WAR DOGS DATING FROM WW2 ALL THE WAY TO TODAY! Sorry for caps it is that worm!! the military is also allowing combat vets to return home with the dogs they got and kept overseas. there is a mavement to build a retirement home for war dogs and vets her in my area! Good documentary see it if you can!

I saw that. Made me all misty eyed when the old vets were recalling their stories. Such fabulous teams they all were. The dogs were truly amazing, and true partners to the end, some of them...

One tear jerker for me was the story of how the war dogs kept watch at night so the soldiers could sleep comfortably at night in the fox holes and would share food with the handlers and bring comfort to the wounded men! Amazing documentary
