I'm not usually one to post and put down anyone, but are these people insane?  I came along this site when I was on the database earlier, and these people are charging $2,000-$5,000 a puppy, from parents with no titles, hip x rays, etc, and stud fees are $3,000?  They might have good bloodlines, but no titles? no x rays, nothing said about health tests? and most of the studs are not even two years old.    I thought some of the GSD people were bad, but how greedy are people, and how dumb are others to be willing to pay that much for puppies from parents who are just bred over and over and over.  Okay enough ranting, and wasting my time on here I know, I just thought this was ridiculous.

Maybe, being pit bulls, they have the sort of titles no one's willing to talk about...

Wouldn't surprise me!

THOSE, are NOT Pit Bulls!

Good grief. Any web address that has "blue" in the name is enough to  turn me off. I shouldn't have even looked at that.

Sunsilver, no way could those mutants do what you're insinuating! Those people are plain old nuts and greedy, and making a quick buck off of other idiots just like them.

It is just a case of different strokes for different folks! Happens in the gsd world all the time! Plenty of pups sold without titles on parents here! Try not to make it known cause these people will cut your jewels off ! shoot if you wanna play by the rules you gotta move to germeny! OOPS no spell check!

In the world of the APBT, hips and ringsport titles mean absolutely nothing. What matters is the ped and the bloodlines therein. In this era, very few of the millions of Pit Bull or Bully type dog owners have any type of knowledge or understanding of what a bloodline is.  Most of the owners who feel they do, have learned from message boards and the internet.

The dogs in the above link are prime examples of the Garbage that permeates the poor APBT breed today. The bloodlines and ped of the above dogs is a Nightmare.  Generation after generation of Garbage dogs. If you go back in the ped far enough to find a decent dog, it's surrounded by more garbage.

A bloodline shouldn't be born, because some Dog Peddler has sold enough mixed breed curs and garbage that their Kennel name becomes familiar.
A Bloodline is known by a famous Dogman's name or by the name of a famous dog.

I hate that type of PB, the ones who look like they are half English Bull Dog. We have one like that in rescue right now. She's a pretty nice dog, but slightly game and has a bulldog front and mouth. LOVES people, of course.

And I hate anyone with CALI in their address! Stooopid!

Slightly game?  Do you really mean Slightly Game, or Slightly Aggressive?
Gameness and Aggression have nothing to do with each other.

by VomMarischal on 12 February 2010 - 17:02

Well...tell me the difference and I'll tell you. It's pretty clear she wants to fight, and she has been de-barked by whatever person originally had her.

by Abhay on 12 February 2010 - 17:02

If she wants to fight other dogs, she is dog aggressive.  To actually PROVE how Game she is, you would have to fight her to the point of being exhausted, hurt, frustrated, or all of the above.  Then you would see her true courage level.

Since I'm just about certain that you haven't fought her, and I  sincerely hope no one has, I bet you simply meant she is dog aggressive.

Sorry to say, but this is becoming a trend with some APBT cultures, oversize heads, huge muscular chest, low to the ground, basically APBT on steroids, it looks like these guys are doing well in reaching that goal. I disagree with a previous poster, Breeders in the past(50 years ago) had very srtict breeding programs and took great pride in producing a tough dog, with tons of heart and gameness, athleticism, etc. The only thing that could possibly become good out of this, is they are more than likely  breeding the gameness( basically the drive to fight any thing with fur on it) out of these dogs( a good thing if you are a take your dog to the park person) and putting a little more civil drive for PP purposes,  I doubt any of these dogs are being sold for illegal purposes, which is great of course. I also believe this is about right price for what these overly huge APBT are going for, although this is for certain not what this breed was designed too look like, these dogs look way to big for their own joints. This will for sure hurt this great breed in more ways than one in the future, just my two cents.
