Are you looking for specifically Schutzhund Dumbells or just dumbells per se?
The former can be found at John Humphris site; just square ended ones of any description you are better looking on the Obedience UK site.

I buy my dumbells from a very nice lady in Cheltenham who makes personalised ones very useful especially for me as I'm forever leaving them on the judges table!

First off, I applaud anyone who rescues any animal from a shelter. I have done so many times in the past with only one bad result. A bulldog with severe demodex who could not be cured (pre ivermectin). He had to be put down as he suffered terribly.
The wolf has bred in the wild for thousands of years and survived by developing certain avoidance tendencies. If confronted, flee. If cornered, fight to the death. Kill and consume any warm blooded creature moving on the earth, including humans.
The correct GSD has been bred for 100+ years to have no or minimal avoidance tendencies. Not only that, but to meet confrontations head on. It is not possible to combine the "best" of these tendencies and create a an animal useful to mankind.
I honestly cannot fathom the ignorance and stupidity of people who would come to an international GSD forum and advocate doing so. There are only 2 reasons for doing so, financial gain or such a misguided sense of ego that wants to proclaim, "look what I have, I am master". I will venture to guess that all who have done so are from North America, where anything goes.
For all who claim to love the GSD, yet do such as this or breed unproofed pets for the shelter market, you are utterly contemptible.
The GSD is a breed developed with a specific purpose, with a standard and a system to proof that standard and the dog.
In closing, if you rescued an animal from a shelter, I applaud you. If you advocate breedings such as this, then you are a complete, ignorant POS and have no knowledge or success in the GSD world.
