My dog's eyes have had redness for quite sometime. Some have told me to give glucose probably because the dog has some heat in his body and is exerting as well. However, I am not convinced with the idea. My doc is out of town and I havent been able to show my dog to him. Could anyone else tell me if there is something to really worry about?

Best advice is to let the Vet see the dog.

I am with moons, have  a vet look at your dog. The redness could be anything from high pressure in the eyes to also being infected. So again please see your vet.

As others have said, your dog does need to see your vet ASAP. Until he returns, however, some additional info might help determine whether this is something critical enough that you need to find another vet NOW, or if it can wait 'til your own vet returns.

1. Age of dog
2. Where exactly is the 'redness' located? The white part of the eye? The entire eye? Inside the eye?
3. Does this dog have any other health issues?
4. When you say this redness has been there for 'quite some time', exactly how long a time is that?
