Hi All:
Just a quick update about the 2010 WDC . . . the website is up and running and contains all pertinent info.
Please visit at www.2010wdc.com
A couple of highlights:
1. We'll have the WDC in a small suburb of Columbus, Ohio . . . Grove City.
2. Hotel Info will be posted soon.
3. We're now accepting Trophy sponsorship.
4. The on-line entry form will be open soon.
5. We're working really hard to make sure the event is very competitor friendly.
Please let me know if anyone needs info not on the website.

Did this take the place of the North American and is a qualifier score required to enter?Thanks.

If you get (at least) 270 in a club trial and just show in a regionals after that (it doesn't even have to be in YOUR region but A regionals) and pass all 3 phases regardless of scores at said regionals, but pass - you can participate in the nationals.

I meant - then you can participate in the 2010 working championships. And if you win that one and score at least 270 in the NATIONALS IN nOVEMBER, THEN YOU GO TO wusv. eASY, HUH?

I thought to go to the Nationals in the fall 2010,a score of 270 pts at a club trial and passing a Regional Championship was what is needed.And when does the time frame begin for that?Jan 1st or right after the last National?To go to FCI World Championship-I read someplace that 270 points in 2 events such as AWDF Championship,USA National Championship,HOT Championship,North American was needed.But there is no longer a HOT or North American so what are the qualifiers for the FCI Worlds.And what is needed to enter the Working Dog Championship in Ohio in April.Sorry-I find it confusing.

The WDC is the new North Americans/HOT championship. It is a world qualifying event and there is no prerequisite to enter. The Nationals in November require a 270 and participation in a regional.

It looks like it is shaping up as a very nice event. Will event merchandise (t-shirts, sweats, hats, etc.) be available to order on-line? You know there are folks who like to get them for every event, whether they attend the events or not. I have last year's Mid-East regional t-shirt, for example.
btw--I know of a woman who once made a quilt from the logo section of old event sweatshirts. Wouldn't that be a great raffle item?
