comments on it's effectiveness on skin cysts and blemishes? Halo has a quater x quater inch growth on shoulder that vet diagnoses as a cyst or non carcinogenic growth and prescribed the med above! fleshy growth that was encased in a hard outer shell! Vet said was a common occurance in older dogs and some younger ones also! treatment for two weeks and revisit! Any comments for the ole butt hole are welcome!

Your vet is covering all the bases be it fungal, bacterial or rusty. Stop stressing the dog and let her stand on four feet. Just a thought.

thumbs up too, if it does not really go away and continues to drain, you can have it removed. Very short procedure maybe twenty minutes on a good day, maybe 4 stitches.
Always,

Raymond,
I believe my Dog had the same problem. It originally looks like a small cyst, if you squeeze it, it will ooze. The oozing will then become the hard encrusted portion that you observed. It may ooze own its own.
The vet said, "that the Dogs body emits a substance that makes the hairs waterproof, if it becomes blocked then it produces a bump that looks like a cyst. She removed it and told me that if it keeps coming back in the same spot they will surgically remove it.
She said it wasn't a big deal and it was non-cancerous.
Hope this helps, good luck with your dog.
