Someone had a post on Maxximum Nutrition last year, and some people had a LOW OPINION of it!   WHY?   You guys ever give it to your dog?

My dog is 11 yrs old and has an Immune System Disease called Symmetrical Lupoid Onnychodystrophy(SLO), and Maxximum Nutrition IS THE ONLY FOOD THAT HE CAN TOLERATE so I am willing to drive say 100 miles to find a Bag of it BUT can't find it here in North Louisiana!      SLO causes all the dog's nails to be Painfull and fall-off besides them being Ugly and oozing.   Another symptom of this disease is the Itching and Biting from bathing these dogs with shampoo.    I've tried many dog foods out THAT DON'T CONTAIN CORN, WHEAT, SOY, GLUTEN, ETC., and they all give him COLLITIS AND TERRIBLE GAS SO GLUTEN MUST BE GETTING INTO THOSE PRODUCTS-EXCEPT THE MAXXIMUM NUTRITION.    Now, he'll bark and instantly turn around to look at his bottom because of the pain and inflammation of his colon and rectal area.

i emailed Walmart and told them that I would be willing to pay $40 or more for a bag-Wamart  can probably get me for $75 or more for a 20lb bag since this Maxximum Nutrition IS THE BEST HYPO-ALLERGENIC DOG FOOD THAT I CAN FIND TO FEED Sparky!       i HOPE SOMEONE WOULD GET THAT RECIPEE FROM THEM AND MAKE IT-PRONTO!!!!!!!!!

The terrible gas and colitis could be from switching him from a very grain-heavy food like Maxximum Nutrition to a richer, meat-protein centered food. What other "natural" foods have you tried? Orijen? Evo? Taste of the Wild? Canidae grain free?

Evo is a great food as are all the food made by Natura Pet.  I use California Natural, My shadow was a basset-lab mix and she lived to be 20yrs.   I suspect my shepherds to live just as long.  I love Natura foods they are great.  Did you know their food is made in its own factory so there is no cross contamination with any other pet food brand and ALL their ingredients are from within the USA.  When they had that big pet food scare I was so thankful my dogs we eating Natura foods.
