Hi,

Been implementing more basic server changes. I hope that the site is now faster and snappier for most of you.

Anyone feel a difference?

I saw a couple of posts talking about updated pictures (pedigree or userlogo's). Due to the nature of global caching, this is something that I won't be able to change. Either the pictures are cached around the globe (updates won't show immediately) or they are pulled from Iceland every time a request is done (updates show immediately).

I personally think that the speed gain of retrieving pictures from a Location Near You (tm) is more beneficial (the pedigreedatabase is heavily picture orientated making it slow to load)

The size has has been formatted into a smaller viewing area and although it took me a little while to get used to it, I've found that I do like it better, as it keeps me from having to look at such a wide angle...if that makes any sense.

Anyway, thanks for the improvements!

I have only one wish, please: Could you please put in a "go to" link on the German Shepherd Discussion Board, just like you added here a while ago. That would allow us to go to the last post directly without the tedious scrolling down.

I've also noticed a couple of other issues. When you click on a user's name lately, you get older posts as opposed to the most recent.

Also, when someone edits a post, the "Last edited by..." notation is using the user's join date and time rather than the time the post was actually edited.
