I have been looking at allot of GS an am interested in a dog out of my price range
so I probably will not buy but, if I did would the dog experience any problems as
far as the food available in the U.S as compared to whatever they are feeding?

I have3 imports, two from czech and one from the Netherlands. I have had no food issues. I feed raw but must add a bit of kibble for deployment purposes. (so they are used to it) I do however give probiotics when they first come over.

so no problems here. I do however take it real easy on the amount of food for the first few days,

Thank you for that info.  by the way, what food brand do you feed?

Thanks,
mike

You can also ask whoever is sending you the dog to send along some of the dog's food.  You only need a week's supply to transition to whatever you plan to feed.  (The key is to feed lightly and go slowly, gradually adding new food into the old in increasing proportions.)
