Would appreciate opinions while I obsess/wait for OFA to get back to me.  These were taken today of my just turned 2 yesterday Australian Cattle Dog bitch.  Not thrilled with the flattening in the joint but I guess it depends on the mood of the evaluators on the day they look at her xrays....

Thanks!

they just could be a little tighter in the socket  - otherwise I think they look very good - my guess is "good".

Judging by the picture.... OFA Good.

once again, it appears they are pulling/pushing down on the legs.  we have seen pics like these before.  it is my personal opinion that excessive traction on the legs will distort the view and does not allow an accurate reading.

I think 'good'. I agree w/ziegenfarm, when they are pulled down so hard and straight, that is not a natural angle, and it actually pulls the hips slightly out more than they truly are under natural circumstances. On the looser of the two, it appears you have greater than 50% in the socket, so I'm sticking with "good."  "GOOD" LUCK! ;-)

Thanks all for the opinions and the education!  I will let everyone know what they come back as.

Just got word from OFA that her hips are good and her elbows are normal so I am happy with that :-)

thanks for getting back with us on the results.  lots of people ask for opinions and then never let us know the outcome.  congrats on the good rating.  it appears that everything is formed properly-----even if there is too much traction on the legs.<wink wink>

Thanks all!  Ziegenfarm I learned from your post and plan on making sure that does not happen in the future :-)

The hips and elbows complete her requirements to get her CHIC number with OFA (she is DNA'd for PRCD PRA, CERFed after the age of 2, and BAER tested in addition to the hips and elbows).

Now everyone keep your fingers crossed for Monday when the vet checks the 11 year old male that I am going to use with her to ensure that he still has swimmers swimming ;-)
