I RECOMEND THESE FOAM INSERTS LIGHT WEIGHT SIZED AND MOLDED FOR GSD ONLY, WONT EVEN KNOW THEY ARE ON.  I DONT RECOMEND OVER TAPING TOO AGRESSIVELY OR GLUING EARS TOGETHER, THIS MAY CAUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE TO THE EAR CARTILAGE, GOOD RESULTS WITH DOGS AS OLD AS 10 MONTHS, PM OR EMAIL FOR MORE INFORMATION.

BEST OF LUCK!

I use moleskins that I cut out in the size and shape of the inside of the ear.  I take off the back and apply fast drying, non toxic Tear Mender glue and stick the moleskin down into the ear and hold for a minute while it sticks.  It eventually wears out and if the puppy's ears are still not standing, I pull the old moleskins out if they are starting to fall out, I then cut out another new moleskin and repeat the process.
I've done this for my large boned DDR bred male puppies and once on a female.  Here is a picture of Bube that has the moleskins in.  He was 14 weeks old and I could see they needed help.  They just came out the other day after he had worn them about a month.  His ears are now standing with no help.  I also feed him extra cottage cheese (calcium), raw chicken wings (cartilage) and he gets extra Pet Tab Plus vitamins everyday.  All this helps the ears and all the other needs during this rapid growth spurt.

The moleskins are tan colored so at first glance you can't tell the puppy has them.

Bube Von Gluckhaus at  14 weeks old (34.6 lbs) and his big daddy Boi Von Himmel Kamm 9 years old (105 lbs). Boi is teaching him that he can't steal the yummy raw beef knuckle bone.

Picture of the Tear Mender non toxic glue.  I ebay mine.
