Explanation to above great picture.
SYMMETRY:
The image of the L must be EXACT mirror image of the R . That means the holes in the pelvis and where femur crosses the pelvis on the R and L is of the same size and shape. Everything ont L and R is of the same size and shape. Spine is the axes of the mirror image.
ANGLES:
the movable parts must be only parallel (Femurs , spine, up and down axes of pelvis )or perpendicular( horizontal axes of pelvis to femur).
KNEE CAPS
Must be on the picture and
must be in the middle of the knee like a bull's eye. PERIOD!
TECH.
1.Picture must be perfectly in focus and not fuzzy.(sharpness)
2.there must be total black and total white color (proper contrast)
3.film must be developed in fresh chemicals (for the details)
4. digital x rays are best.

Thanks to Dragongsd for the xray with the lines superimposed, which also lends itself to easier interpretation.
